Good afternoon Elayne. Just a quick note to thank you so much for your gracious hospitality in sharing the beauty, peace and tranquility of Scott's Timberline Lake Cabin!
We needed to leave early Saturday morning to return home for our granddaughter's classical guitar recital, and forgot to sign the guestbook before we left. So we didn't want time to pass without offering our gratitude for the sights and sound of a very special place, for giving good solid directions to the grocery store (!), and for the delicious loaf of rye bread. That was a special treat and a tasty "go-with" for the soups and stew we had for dinner!
On Thursday we took the scenic route to the Overlook Restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty surrounding us at every turn. We had planned to do some walking at the cabin and making the trip to Paoli you described. Unfortunately, Donna was not feeling well while we were at the cabin. She was sick on our trip up from Grand Rivers and didn't start to perk up again until Friday night. We were disappointed not to be able to "get out" a little bit more, but there is a calm serenity about sitting on the front porch and just relaxing. And so we did! After being sheltered for over a year, and literally not getting out or seeing anyone except what we could see from the front widows of our house, we can't imagine selecting a more inviting destination than Scotts Timberline Lake!
We hope to return for another visit sometime in the future. In the meantime, thank you again for all of the hard work it takes to make such a special place a reality for so many. Have a great summer and fall season! Best regards and may God bless you,
Phil and Donna Norman
